IBM Servers Configurations
IBM xSeries 300
CPU: Intel Pentium III 1GHz; 512MB RAM; 2 x Intel Pro 10/100B/100+; 1 x 3Com 3c905C-TX; IDE Seagate.
From the user:
Running FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE as a firewall and a proxy server. No problems recorded with installation and configuration.

IBM xSeries 345
CPU: Intel Pentium4/Xeon 2GHz; 2GB RAM; 2 x Intel Pro 10/100/1000 onboard; onboard LSI1030c SCSI/RAID 0/1 Controller (aka. MPT/Fusion) works with "device mpt" in kernel-config.
From the user:
Running FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE as webmail-nodes. Note: make sure you have a recent bios version.

IBM Series 325 - *Unable to run!*
From the user:
I haven't heard of anyone being able to get FreeBSD 4.8 working on a IBM series 325, tried it myself on one here and always comes up with the "Waiting 15 seconds for SCSI cards to idle" or similar message. Tried many options, plus BIOS checks, found someone similar had the same problem but had bsd running fine on another six boxes.

IBM Workstatnions Configurations
IBM ThinkPad T21
CPU: PIII Mobile 800MHz; 384MB RAM; 40GB hard drive (partition and dual-booted); DVD-ROM; 14" XGA display.
From the user:
Running 4.8-RELEASE and was running 5.1-RC1 but it wasn't 100% stable. Under 4.8-R, I was able to get XFree86 4.3.0 up and running at the best resolution that the display can handle (1024x768). The Crystal Semiconductor sound controller in the laptop worked great after including the cs driver (IIRC). The laptop I have has an Intel/Xircom MiniPCI card that provides 10/100 Ethernet (fxp driver) and a "WinModem" which I haven't even cared to try out. CardBus controller works under 5.x but it couldn't detect the IBM FireWire CardBus card I had in one of the slots.

For the heck of it, I installed 5.1-R over 4.8-R on the laptop and it looks like it is detecting the FireWire CardBus card properly and even detected my external DVD-RW drive :) No more having to run to another machine to burn a CD/DVD anymore ;).

IBM Thinkpad A21m
CPU: Mobile Intel Pentium III 750Mhz; 384MB RAM; 1 x 3Com 3c556B onboard.
From the user:
Running FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE as personal workstation. Onboard 3Com 3c556B Fast Etherlink XL - supported via xl(4); USB<->Palm works too; audio harware needs snd_csa.ko to work.

IBM Netvista
CPU: 1 x Pentium III; 128MB RAM; Accton EN1207D-TX PCI Fast Ethernet.
From the user:
FreeBSD version: 4.4-Release.
